Standard Professional Install

Standard Professional Installation (SPI) Policy

This policy describes the terms and conditions under which Unwired Access provides installation services and related equipment. This policy is legally binding and enforceable as described below.

1. Acceptance of This Policy

  • • By scheduling, authorizing, or allowing installation services to be performed, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this policy whether or not the customer has read it.
  • • If the customer does not agree to these terms, they must notify Unwired Access prior to installation, and service will be canceled.
  • • Installation, activation of service, continued use of service, or receipt of equipment constitutes express acceptance of this policy and all related terms.
  • • Cancellation of service does not relieve the customer of obligations incurred under this policy.

2. Standard Professional Installation (SPI) – Included Services

The Standard Professional Installation is valued at $99 and includes:

Antenna Installation

  • • Standard roof-mounted installation using an 18" J-arm mount
  • • Antenna placement is determined solely by Unwired Access technicians to ensure optimal signal quality and network performance

Cabling

  • • Up to 100 feet of outdoor-rated, shielded Cat5 Ethernet cable
  • • One (1) exterior wall penetration
  • • External routing only

Power & POE

  • • POE injector installed within 18 inches of the wall penetration
  • • POE connected directly to a properly grounded electrical outlet
  • • Includes 6 feet of Cat5 cable from POE to router

Router Setup

  • • If renting an Unwired Access router:
    Connection and verification of up to 10 devices via Wi-Fi
  • • If using customer-owned router:
    Router must be configured for DHCP
    Customer is responsible for all device connectivity and configuration

3. Optional Mounting Options

  • • Tripod Mount Installation: $75 additional
    Roof-mounted, non-penetrating where applicable
  • • Ground Mount Installation: $99 additional
    Includes one 8-foot pole set in concrete
    Customer is responsible for all trenching and burial of cable

4. Additional Cabling

  • • Additional outdoor-rated Cat5 cable: $0.50 per foot
  • • Maximum total Ethernet length: 328 feet
  • • Cable routing and termination are determined by Unwired Access

5. Work Not Included / Not Performed

Under no circumstances will Unwired Access technicians:

  • • Run cable through attics, crawl spaces, or wall cavities
  • • Fish cable through walls
  • • Bury cable
  • • Perform structural modifications beyond a single exterior penetration
  • • Enter unsafe or restricted spaces

6. Non-Standard Work & Rescheduling

  • • Unwired Access schedules installations based on a defined time allotment for the Standard Professional Installation.
  • • Any work outside the SPI scope requires:
    • - Rescheduling to allow appropriate time
    • - Possible additional charges
  • • Technicians are not authorized to exceed scheduled time on-site
  • • Non-standard requests cannot be approved or performed during an SPI appointment

7. Third-Party Cabling

If interior cabling or wall fishing is desired:

  • • Unwired Access may recommend a third-party contractor
  • • All Ethernet cable must be supplied by Unwired Access
  • • The customer must contract with and pay the third party directly
  • • Installation will be rescheduled after cabling is completed

8. Property Ownership & Authorization

The customer represents and warrants that they:

  • • Own the premises or
  • • Have obtained all required permissions, including:
    • - Landlord approval
    • - HOA or covenant approval
    • - Any other governing authority approval

Unwired Access assumes no responsibility for violations, disputes, fines, or removal requests resulting from lack of authorization.

9. No Modifications or Exceptions

  • • No employee, technician, contractor, or customer service representative is authorized to modify, waive, or make exceptions to this policy.
  • • Any modification must be:
    • - In writing
    • - Signed by an authorized officer of Unwired Access
  • • Verbal statements, assurances, or representations do not modify this policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • • All installation services and equipment are provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind.
  • • Unwired Access expressly disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
    • - Merchantability
    • - Fitness for a particular purpose
    • - Performance or uninterrupted service
    • - Accuracy or compatibility
  • • No advice or information provided by Unwired Access alters this disclaimer.

11. Limitation of Liability

  • • The maximum total liability of Unwired Access for any claim related to installation is strictly limited to $99
  • • Under no circumstances shall Unwired Access be liable for:
    • - Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
    • - Loss of data, revenue, business, or service
    • - Property damage beyond the defined installation scope
  • • This limitation applies regardless of legal theory.

12. General Disclaimers

  • • Service performance may be affected by environmental, structural, or external factors beyond Unwired Access's control
  • • Installations may be refused or rescheduled for safety, access, or misrepresentation
  • • The customer assumes all risk related to placement decisions required for optimal signal
